As a Junior (2018): Lakins was named a captain prior to the start of the 2018 season … transitioned to a left fielder after starting her career at first base while also seeing time as the designated player … on the year, posted a .188/.222/.265 slash line from the plate … Lakins recorded 22 hits, four doubles, 10 walks, third-most RBI on the team (14), and scored two runs … tallied two multi-RBI games tying her career-best two RBI in a single game … set a career-high in hits, RBI, on-base percentage, and walks drawn in a single game (2) against Bowling Green … tallied an on base streak of six games.
As a Sophomore (2017): Lakins was named to the 2017 Academic All-MAC team ... made 27 starts and appeared in 31 contests in her second season with the squad … in 68 at bats, posted a .279 batting average, .338 slugging percentage, and .342 on-base percentage … Lakins registered 19 hits, four doubles, 11 RBI, and totaled 23 bases … recorded the team’s second-best fielding percentage, .985, with 188 putouts, eight assists, and just three errors … went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI against Kent State … had a four-game hit streak that included seven hits and four RBI … on the field, garnered four double-digit putout performances, including a season-high 11 against Ohio.
