As a Junior (2018):In her first season in an Akron uniform, Rodriguez averaged a slash line of .284/.552/.417 … Rodriguez lead the Akron offense in runs scored (23), triples (1), slugging percentage (.552), on-base percentage (.417), RBI (17), stolen bases (17), hit by pitches (8), and stolen base percentage (.850, 17-for-20), along with tied for most home runs (16) and doubles (11) … in MAC play, recorded a team-best 15 runs scored, 40 total bases, .656 slugging percentage, 14 RBI, five home runs, six stolen bases, and tied with 12 walks … when playing on a Sunday, Rodriguez thrived and posted a .483 batting average (14-for-29), with four doubles, one triple, three home runs, nine RBI, 29 total bases, stole eight bases, and scored nine runs, along with a 1.000 slugging percentage to lead the Akron offense … became the 12thZip in program history to hit a grand slam … recorded six RBI against Kent State, which is second-most in a single-game in program history … hit home runs in back-to-back contests against Toledo … recorded a team-best nine-game on-base streak … posted two four-game hit streaks throughout the year … in the MAC, ranked third in steals (17), 52nd in batting average (.284), T-12th in doubles (11), and T-7th in hit by pitches (8).
At Nicholls State University: Earned All-Southland Conference honorable mention in 2017 … as a redshirt sophomore, hit .234 with 11 hits, two doubles, three home runs, and 10 RBI, along with three stolen bases … was named to the Southland Conference Commissioners honor roll.
High School: earned four varsity letterwinners as a shortstop at Southeast Career and Technical Academy … in her senior season she averaged a .562 batting average on 41 hits, 13 doubles, two triples, three home runs, 29 RBI and 21 stolen bases.
Personal: Daughter of Bernice Sanchez and Enrique Rodriguez … has a younger brother, Max, and a younger sister, Kelly … majoring in media studies.
