As a Junior (2019): Took over the role of the ace in the Zips pitching during her first season in an Akron uniform … on the year, went 8-12 inside the circle in 26 starts and 32 appearances in 133.2 innings of work that included 10 complete games and two shutouts … over the course of the year allowed 151 hits, 103 runs, 88 earned runs, struck out 109 and walked 64 … made her Akron debut against Morgan State and picked up her first Akron win (12-11) … Smith struck out a season-high 10 batters against Niagara … tossed back-to-back complete game shutouts in a doubleheader against the Purple Eagles that included a combined four hits and 19 strikeouts … threw four consecutive complete games in four straight appearances Youngstown State, Western Michigan, Buffalo, and Toledo.

At St. Francis (Pa.)- (2018): Appeared in 29 games, including 19 starts and 12 complete games… Went 11-7 with a 2.74 ERA and recorded two saves. In 125.1 innings, allowed 123 hits, 64 runs (49 earned) and 43 walks, while striking out 109 … In NEC play, was 5-0 with a 1.63 ERA in eight appearances (six starts) and 50 strikeouts in 34.1 innings… Had eight appearances where she pitched five or more innings and did not allow an earned run … struck out 11 batters on two separate occasions for a career-high … (2017): Appeared in 22 games, including 11 starts, with one at third base and 10 as designated player… registered a .176 batting average with six hits, including a double, a homer, five RBI and three runs … drew five walks and stole a base … appeared in two games in the circle and tossed three innings of work … allowed three runs on four hits, with a strikeout and two walks … first college hit was a two-run double against UMass … threw two shutout innings against Rhode Island and allowed two hits and struck out a batter … first career homer was a three-run shot … had a hit and scored a run in the NEC Tournament game against Wagner.

High School – Smith played four years of varsity softball at St. Clairsville High School for head coach Rachel Duncan … as a senior, Smith went 9-1 in the circle, with a 2.57 ERA and 146 strikeouts … she was named Buckeye 8 First Team and All-Times Leader First Team … as a junior, Smith was a First Team All-Ohio selection as well as an All-OVAC honoree … she was named Eastern District Div. III Co-Player of the Year and Buckeye 8 First Team All-League … in the circle as a junior, Smith earned a 19-3 record, with a 0.46 ERA and 254 strikeouts in 133 innings. At the plate, she hit .403 with seven doubles, nine home runs and 39 RBI … she drew 22 walks and scored 32 runs, while slugging .903 with a .542 on-base percentage.
