AKRON, Ohio - The Akron Zips host Western Michigan from March 6-8 to begin Mid-American Conference action.

Akron recently fell to Dayton in its home opener on Wednesday, March 4. Falling 14-11, Brennan Morgan compiled a 2-for-4 day; racking up two doubles, two RBI and two runs. Easton Amundson scored three times while drawing four walks. Austin Lafferty smoked a home run and added two RBI and two walks to his performance. Kyle McConachie, Brody Chrisman and Gabe Mathison all had multi-RBI performances to help the Akron offense.
