Akron Lacrosse Earns IWLCA Academic Honors

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association unveiled its 2025 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll and Honor Squads on Wednesday, July 23.
The IWLCA named 3.76 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2024-25 academic year, including Akron which posted a 3.481 GPA.
To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater, while teams must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
In all, 1,176 student-athletes from 123Â institutions were honored including Akron seniors Bryanne Harner (Friendswood, Texas) and Kylie Harris (Lake Norman, N.C.) and juniors Katie Baumer (Rochester, N.Y.), Sarah Baumer (Rochester, N.Y.) and Heather Carey (Williamsville, N.Y.).
