MOREHEAD, Ky. - The 11th-ranked University of Akron rifle team collected a 4706-4656 triumph past No. 17 Morehead State on Saturday (Feb. 8).

Junior Natalia Siek (Flemington, N.J.), who earned overall match top-gun honors with a 1180 score, led the Zips in smallbore with a match-best 587 total. Redshirt seniors Gavin Perkowski (Bolivar, Ohio) and Erin Schnupp (Gorham, Maine) and senior Alexis Kirk (Clarence Center, N.Y.) rounded out the top four for Akron with 586, 583 and 582 scores, respectively.

Perkowski, Siek and Kirk all earning 593 totals in the air rifle, while senior Rachel Engels (Meridian, Idaho) added a 592 mark.

Akron returns to hosting the NCAA Qualifier against Mount Aloysius on Saturday (Feb. 22) at the Robert A. Pinn Shooting Range starting at 11 a.m.
