TOLEDO, Ohio -Â The University of Akron women's soccer team fell 1-0 on the road against Toledo on Sunday (Sept. 29).
How it Happened
Akron and Toledo battled through scoreless first half before the Rockets scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 48th minute. Redshirt junior GK Penelope Cuirinier (Mionnay, France) led Akron with two saves.
The Zips registered seven shots on the afternoon, four of them on goal. Akron faced nine Toledo shots, four of them on net.
