AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron women's soccer team fell 3-1 to Ohio on Sunday (Oct. 6) at FirstEnergy Stadium.
How it Happened
Ohio took a 1-0 lead when Ella Deevers scored in the sixth minute (5:26), assisted by Rayann Pruss.
The Bobcats extended their advantage to 2-0 at the 28:54 mark on a goal from Rylee Mensel, off assists from Iro Fakinou and Hailey Jeng.
Akron closed the gap to 2-1 on freshman Allie Mcmillen's (Shreve, Ohio) 42nd-minute (41:25) goal, her second of the season. Freshman Eesha Sutharshan (Knoxville, Tenn.) assisted the tally.
The Bobcats made it a 3-1 lead with a penalty kick goal from Lillian Weller at the 42:06 mark.

- Redshirt junior GK Penelope Cuirinier (Mionnay, France) totaled three saves for the Zips out of 13 total Bobcats shots.
- Akron recorded four shots on goal.
