Lee, Sivek and Stevens Named to the 2023-24 CSC Academic All-District Softball Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Meagan Lee, Brooke Sivek and Tiffany Stevens, of the University of Akron Softball team were named to the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Softball team on, selected by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday, May 28. The award recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
Lee led the Zips offense with a .438 batting average in 176 at-bats and scattered a team-high 77 hits. In 52 games played, the slapper launched one homerun with 13 RBI while registering 32 runs scored. Lee had the second-highest stolen base total (15 of 18) and posted a team-high .473 on base percentage with 12 free passes. Lee earned 2024 second team honors for the Mid-American Conference and All-Region Mideast NFCA.
Sivek started all 52 games for the Blue and Gold and scattered a third-best 45 hits in 163 at-bats for a .276 batting average. She touched 45 total bases and scored a team-high 33 runs while driving in four RBI. She collected 26 walks for a .376 on-base percentage and posted a team-best 24-of-25 stolen bases.
Stevens anchored the outfield for all 52 games for the Zips. She recorded 31 hits in 142 at-bats for a .218 batting average. She registered seven extra-base hits with five doubles and a pair of homeruns en route to 14 RBI. Stevens owned a .309 on-base percentage with 16 walks and touched 42 total bases, scoring 12 runs while stealing 6-of-6 bags.
2023-24 Academic All-District® Softball Teams
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 18.
• Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
• Student-athletes must be enrolled at their institution at the time of nomination either as undergraduates or graduate students. Only the school at which an athlete competed in the current academic year can nominate that player.
• Student-athletes who have graduated from their own institution during the current academic year and are not competing in athletics at another institution at the time of nomination are eligible.
