Horvath and Lafferty's Home Runs Not Enough in 13-2 loss to The Citadel

CHARLESTON, S.C. --The Akron Zips struggled on Sunday, falling to The Citadel Bulldogs, 13-2.
Andrew Horvath and Austin Lafferty both hit home runs and went 1-4 on the day to lead the Zips.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Zips got on the scoreboard first in the second as Horvath sent a one-out solo home run off Sam Swygert.
The Zips then held the Bulldogs scoreless before expanding their lead in the fourth inning. Akron picked up a run on Lafferty's one-out solo home run off of Swygert, which brought the score to 2-0 in favor of the Zips. The Zips were unable to hold the lead, as Citadel scored 13 times over the remaining four innings to grab the 13-2 win.

» Akron scored both it's runs on home runs.
» Horvath and Lafferty led the Zips at the plate, going 1-for-4 with a home run and an RBI.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Zips head back south one more time as they battle the Duke Blue Devils in Durham, N.C., for a three-game series starting March 1.
