DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Akron women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision on the road against Wright State on Sunday (Sept. 10) at Alumni Field.
How it Happened
Wright State broke the scoreless tie when Sophia Kuerze scored in the 25th minute.
The Zips evened the game on a goal from junior Katie Stafford (Gahanna, Ohio) - her second goal of the season - in the 27th minute.
Wright State then netted the game-winner on Marcella Sizer's 73rd-minute goal, assisted by Kuerze and Tamara Smith.

- Freshman GK Sara Bower (Cincinnati, Ohio) recorded five saves for the Zips out of 12 total Raiders' shots.
- Akron totaled five shots on goal.
