Akron Takes Down Cleveland State, 3-1

CLEVELAND, - Akron got a pair of goals from junior Morgan Pentz (Broadview Heights, Ohio) in a 3-1 win against Cleveland State Friday (Aug. 18) on the road at Krenzler Field.
Akron improved to 1-0-0 overall after the victory.
How it Happened
Akron started the scoring when Pentz scored her first goal of the season in the 20th minute.
The Vikings evened the match on a goal from Erica Leinweber in the 74th minute, assisted by Mayra Sesmas.
Akron then went up 2-1 on junior Ella Hadley's (Concord, Ohio) 76th-minute goal, her first of the season. Junior Caitlin Bruni (Canal Fulton, Ohio) assisted the goal.
The Zips grabbed a 3-1 lead with an 84th-minute goal from Pentz, her second goal of the season. Freshman Rachel Wenzel (Akron, Ohio) assisted the goal. The score capped the 3-1 game.
