Zips fall in 3-0 sweep to Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY --The Akron volleyball team could not beat a dynamic Bulls offense Tuesday on the road losing to Buffalo in straight sets (18-25, 20-25, 15-25).
The loss dropped Akron's record to 10-10 overall and 5-4 in MAC action.
Melisa Tore finished with six kills on the day to lead the Zips attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .333. Akron got eight digs from Vanessa Del Real to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Zips found themselves in an early deficit, losing a tough first set 25-18. Akron trailed by as many as eight points as Buffalo never surrendered the lead in a set that was tied up just once before the Bulls took control.
SET 2 | Akron dropped set two 25-20, digging a 2-0 hole in the match. The Zips dropped the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Akron could not win the third set and was swept by Buffalo. The Zips dropped a tough set 25-15. Akron trailed by as many as 10 points as Buffalo grabbed the advantage for good at 9-8 in a set that was tied up five times before the Bulls took over the lead.
