Cleveland, Ohio – The Akron Zips will play St. Bonaventure at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Saturday, Dec. 30 as part of the Legends of Basketball Showcase and tickets will go on sale this week for the college basketball tripleheader featuring a trio of Ohio programs.

Tickets include all three games on Saturday, Dec. 30, including Ohio vs Davidson at 1:30pm, Akron vs St. Bonaventure at 4pm and Ohio State vs West Virginia at 7pm.

The tripleheader will be headlined by a border battle between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the West Virginia Mountaineers in primetime at 7 p.m. ET. In addition, the Ohio Bobcats will face the Davidson Wildcats at 1:30 p.m. and the Akron Zips will face the St. Bonaventure Bonnies at 4 p.m.
Tickets start at just $24 and are good for all three games of the tripleheader. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. ET on Thursday and can be purchased by visiting www.rocketmortgagefieldhouse.com or directly at the dedicated event page. Fans interested in attending the tripleheader can register to receive event information and gain access to early tickets through a one-day presale on Wednesday by signing up at www.LegendsofBasketball.com/Showcase. Through the link, fans can also purchase VIP hospitality tickets through the NBRPA for the opportunity to meet former NBA and WNBA stars.
A dedicated hotel rooming block has been established at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Tower for fans attending the Legends of Basketball Showcase. The hotel is just steps to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, giving fans the opportunity to enjoy premier accommodations in a convenient location to the exciting holiday tripleheader. Ohio State and West Virginia have faced each other 17 times previously, with the Buckeyes holding a 9-8 edge in the series. The Mountaineers, however, have dominated recent history, winning eight of the last nine meetings, including each of the last three. The teams last met in 2019, with West Virginia earning a 67-59 victory at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in 2019.
This will be the fourth all-time meeting between Akron and St. Bonaventure, with the Zips carrying a 2-1 edge in the series. The teams have split the last two meetings, with Akron winning a 2018 tilt and St. Bonaventure claiming a 2020 victory. The first meeting between the teams was back in 1942.
Ohio and Davidson have met three times previously, with the Wildcats having won each matchup. Davidson has won a pair of home games as well as a neutral site contest in 2006 in Tempe, Ariz.
