Akron, Ohio –The Wentz Financial Group and Akron Athletics have partnered to host the 2026 Akron Basketball Summer Classic Golf Outing on Monday, Sept. 21, at Lake Forest Country Club in Hudson, Ohio.

The 2026 Akron Basketball Summer Classic will feature two flights of golf with an 8 a.m. shotgun start for the morning session and a 2 p.m. shotgun start for the afternoon session.

"After winning our third MAC Championship in the past three years, we want to thank you for the energy and support you continue to bring to Akron basketball," head coach Dustin Ford said. "Our pursuit of greatness is influenced by you and others who faithfully support our program's efforts. We invite you to participate in our Summer Classic Golf Outing presented by Wentz Financial Group, and look forward to the opportunity to meet all of you alumni, season ticket holders, fans, and our other supporters who have contributed to our success."

There are many ways you can participate, from playing as part of a foursome to taking part in one of the many sponsorship opportunities for the event. If you are unable to participate in this year's outing, please consider making a gift to the Fear the Roo Collective.

The cost for the Summer Classic is $600 per foursome or $150 per golfer, which includes golf, cart, food, beverages, and the tee prize package.
