Akron travels to Athens, Ga. for a four-game series against the No. 15 ranked Georgia Bulldogs at Foley Field on Friday-Sunday, Feb. 25-27. WHAT'S AHEAD
The Zips, under the guidance of head coach Chris Sabo, is coming off a 1-2 start, earning their first road win of the season against Lipscomb last weekend. Akron is batting .291 with an 8.28 ERA and a .933 fielding percentage. Akron registered 32 hits in three opening-weekend games at Lipscomb led by freshman SS Cameron Benson with a .462 batting average. Benson went 6-for-13 in his collegiate debut with a homerun, a double and five RBI. Junior IF Kaito Hara and graduate C Jackson Haas added four hits each as Hara is batting .571 (4-for-7) and Haas is batting .333 (4-for-12). Hara issued two doubles and Haas has one. In addition, senior OF Zac Granger is batting .500 (3-for-6) with a pair of doubles.

No. 15 Georgia bulldogs own a perfect 4-0 record and look to surpass the 7-0 start in 2020 under head coach Scott Stricklin. Georgia enters the series batting .291 with a 2.50 ERA and a .986 fielding percentage. The Bulldogs have eight homeruns on the season, launching one in every game to date. Ben Anderson leads the UGA offense with a .667 batting average (6-for-9) with two home runs, three RBI and four walks. Cole Tate follows with a .412 average (7-for-17) with a home run, three RBI. Georgia's pitching staff has held its opponents to a .185 batting average.
