KENT, Ohio - University of Akron track and field junior Jacqueline Pokuaah (Akron, Ohio) garnered a school-record mark in the women's triple to headline the Zips' performances on the final day of the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent State on Saturday, Feb. 12.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Jacqueline Pokuaah captured her second victory of the meet besting the field in the women's triple jump with a school-record mark of 43-0.25 (13.11m), the No. 17 effort in the NCAA this season
• Freshman Fegor Clifford (Delta State, Nigeria) won the women's 400 meters in a career-best time of 55.53, the fifth-fastest time in indoor program history, while freshman Janay Bass (Akron, Ohio) finished third in a time of 56.41
• Sophomore Zarik Brown (Dayton, Ohio), redshirt sophomore Charles Sanders (Cincinnati, Ohio) and freshman Jimmy Harkelroad (Huron, Ohio) claimed the top-three finishes in the men's 400 meters crossing the line in 46.85, 47.23 and 47.67, respectively
• Junior Amya Clarke (Christ Church, St. Kitts and Nevis) edged the tape in the women's 60 meters in 7.50 to place second
• Senior Hesham Eldesouky (Nasr City, Egypt) placed second in the men's triple jump with a mark of 51-11.75 (15.84m)
• Senior Nuh Andu (Doha, Qatar) surpassed 6-10.75 (2.10m) to finish second in the men's high jump
• Freshmen Hunter Garretson (Newcomerstown, Ohio) and Oscar Prieto (Barcelona, Spain) each eclipsed 16-2.75 (4.95m) to place second in the men's pole vault

In their final tune-up for the Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships, the Zips will host the Al Campbell Invitational at the Stile Athletics Field House on Friday, Feb. 18.

KENT, Ohio - University of Akron track and field junior Jacqueline Pokuaah (Akron, Ohio) garnered a school-record mark in the women's triple to headline the Zips' performances on the final day of the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent State on Saturday, Feb. 12.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Jacqueline Pokuaah captured her second victory of the meet besting the field in the women's triple jump with a school-record mark of 43-0.25 (13.11m), the No. 17 effort in the NCAA this season
• Freshman Fegor Clifford (Delta State, Nigeria) won the women's 400 meters in a career-best time of 55.53, the fifth-fastest time in indoor program history, while freshman Janay Bass (Akron, Ohio) finished third in a time of 56.41
• Sophomore Zarik Brown (Dayton, Ohio), redshirt sophomore Charles Sanders (Cincinnati, Ohio) and freshman Jimmy Harkelroad (Huron, Ohio) claimed the top-three finishes in the men's 400 meters crossing the line in 46.85, 47.23 and 47.67, respectively
• Junior Amya Clarke (Christ Church, St. Kitts and Nevis) edged the tape in the women's 60 meters in 7.50 to place second
• Senior Hesham Eldesouky (Nasr City, Egypt) placed second in the men's triple jump with a mark of 51-11.75 (15.84m)
• Senior Nuh Andu (Doha, Qatar) surpassed 6-10.75 (2.10m) to finish second in the men's high jump
• Freshmen Hunter Garretson (Newcomerstown, Ohio) and Oscar Prieto (Barcelona, Spain) each eclipsed 16-2.75 (4.95m) to place second in the men's pole vault
