KENT, Ohio - University of Akron track and field team recorded 16 overall top-five finishes to highlight the opening night of the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent State on Friday, Feb. 11.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Junior Jacqueline Pokuaah (Akron, Ohio) won the women's long jump with a mark of 19-11.50 (6.08m), while finishing fourth in the women's 60-meter hurdles in 8.74.
• Freshmen Abby Knouff (Tallmadge, Ohio) and Taylor Shriver (Waynesburg, Pa.) went one-two in the women's pole vault as the Akron duo each eclipsed 13-5 (4.09m)
• Junior Amya Clarke (Christ Church, St. Kitts and Nevis) turned in a career-best time of 24.23 in the women's 200 meters to place second, while freshman Fegor Clifford (Delta State, Nigeria) placed third in a time of 24.78
• Senior Jayce Shaffer (Lawrenceville, Ga.) recorded a career-best mark of 23-5.25 (7.14m) to place second in the men's long jump
• Freshman Jimmy Harkelroad (Huron, Ohio) garnered a career-best time of 21.88 in the men's 200 meters to earn a third-place finish
• Sophomore Jabari Neal-Jackson (Cincinnati, Ohio) placed third in the men's weight throw with a mark of 60-9 (18.52m)
