BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Akron women's soccer team (3-14-1, 1-8-1 MAC) suffered a 1-0 loss to Buffalo on Thursday afternoon in its season finale.

It wasn't until the 73rd-minute of the game until Buffalo capitalized on its lone goal en route to notching the victory over the Zips as Buffalo fired 10 shots on goal to Akron's two.

The goal came from Taylor Caridi at the 73:09 mark.

Katharina Bilz (Huenstetten Wallbach, Germany) and Morgan Shansky (Oakdale, Pa.) each fired shots on goal in the first half, but both were saved by Emily Kelly. Senior Sydney Ward (Connellsville, Pa) attempted a shot at the 51-minute mark, but missed just left of the goal.

Goalkeeper Penelope Cuirinier (Mionnay, France) registered a career-high nine saves.
