Kalli MacIntosh-Houlder Signs Letter Of Intent To Join Akron Softball

AKRON, Ohio– The Akron softball team and first-year head coach Meaggan Pettipiece announced the addition of Kalli MacIntosh-Houlder to the Zips incoming class for the 2021 season, on Monday.Â

MacIntosh-Houlder signed her National Letter of Intent surrounded by her family to join the Akron softball program.Â

"We are very excited to welcome Kalli to the future of our program. Being an international student she will bring diversity to our team and program," said Pettipiece. "She has a tremendous bat that will undoubtedly help our offense. I am really looking forward to what the future holds for Kalli as a ZIP."

Out of John Cabot Secondary School, MacIntosh-Houlder is a 5-10 first/third baseman from Mississauga, Ontario. Competing for the Brampton Blazers Gold, MacIntosh-Houlder captured the 2019 U19 Woman's Canadian National Fast Pitch Championship Gold. At the plate, MacIntosh tallied a combined 121 RBI and 24 home runs in 2018 and 2019 while recording a career-best 1.386 OPS in 2019 and .491 batting average in 2018.Â
MacIntosh-Houlder joins Anna Aquino (Medina, Ohio), Carley Auten (Pickerington, Ohio), Madison Dudek (Uniontown, Ohio), Hannah Gartrell (York, Pa.), Sloan Kiser (Mansfield, Ohio), Atlantis Perez (Fullerton, Calif.), Olivia Stefanoni (Hudson, Ohio), and Sheridon Wilber (Rock Creek, Ohio).to make up Akron's 2021 signing class.Â
