Akron Women’s Tennis Hosts Seton Hall & West Virginia This Weekend

AKRON, Ohio – Following a 13-day break, the University of Akron women's tennis team returns to action with two matches this weekend.
On Friday, Feb. 14, the Zips will host Seton Hall (1-3 overall) at 1 p.m. at the LaTuchie Tennis Center in Stow.
This will be the first meeting between the Zips (0-4 overall) and the Pirates.
On Sunday, Feb. 16, Akron battles West Virginia (4-0 overall) at 10 a.m.
In series action, WVU holds a 12-4 series edge over Akron. Last year in Morgantown, West Virginia claimed a 4-3 win.
Seton Hall and West Virginia will face each other on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 9 a.m. at LaTuchie.
Under the guidance of interim head coach Brian Peters, sophomore Claudia Cecilia Rosas Garcia (Gaudalajara, Mexico) stands 10-5 overall in singles action. She is 9-6 in doubles action. Junior Miruna Vasilescu (Ulm, Germany) is 7-7 overall in singles, while junior Anna Uljanov (Schweinfurt, Germany) is 6-4 overall.
