PALMYRA, Pennsylvania – University of Akron rifle fell to Army in a narrow 4673-4666 defeat Saturday morning.

With the loss, Akron falls to 6-4, while Army improves to 3-3 in the win.

The Zips were led by junior Wyatt Openshaw (Parkton, Md.) who shot an 1172 (581 SB, 591 AR). Not far behind was senior Anthony Jackson (Seven Valleys, Pa.) who shot an 1164, and sophomore Andre Gross (Webster, N.Y.) who shot an 1163.
