LEXINGTON, Kentucky – No. 4 Akron rifle found itself back in the win column Sunday afternoon thanks to a 4678-4660 victory over Memphis.

With the win, the Zips improve to 7-4, and ties the second best performance by the marksmen all season.

Akron was led by junior Wyatt Openshaw (Parkton, Md.) who shot an 1170 (578 SB, 592 AR). Not far behind were sophomore Andre Gross (Webster, N.Y.) who shot an 1165 (585 SB, 580 AR) and senior Lauryn Cinadr (Brunswick, Ohio) who shot an 1164 (576 SB, 588 AR).
