AKRON, Ohio – Akron rifle fell to Air Force in a narrow 4683 – 4670 defeat Friday morning at Robert A. Pinn Shooting Range.

With the loss, Akron falls to 6-3 but still retains the No. 4 ranking by less than a point, while Air Force improved to 8-1 in the win.

Akron was led by Kera Kaufman (Delmont, S.D) who shot an 1170 (578 SB, 592 AR). Not far behind were senior Lauryn Cinadr (Brunswick, Ohio) who shot an 1169 (582 SB, 587 AR) and junior Wyatt Openshaw (Parkton, Md.) who shot an 1168 (579 SB, 589 AR).
