MOREHEAD, Kentucky – In its first meet of 2020, Akron rifle topped Morehead State, 4668 – 4647, Saturday morning.Â

Akron improves to 6-2, while Morehead State falls to 4-2.Â

Akron was led by senior Lauryn Cinadr (Brunswick, Ohio) who shot an 1172 (594 AR, 578 SB). Also contributing was junior Wyatt Openshaw (Parkton, Md.) and sophomore Andre Gross (Webster, N.Y.) who shot an 1171 and 1169, respectively.Â

En route to defeating the Eagles, Gross set a new program by shooting a kneeling score of 199-13x.
