Akron Baseball to Host Walk-on Tryouts on Sept. 5

AKRON, Ohio — University of Akron first-year head baseball coach Chris Sabo will hold walk-on tryouts on campus on Thursday, Sept. 5.

Tryouts will be held in the Stile Athletics Field House at 6:30 p.m.

Students must be enrolled at Akron full-time. All candidates must turn in a completed walk-on form which can be picked up outside room 236 (second floor) of InfoCision Stadium.

At the tryout, all students must wear molded spikes or turf shoes only, bring their own bat, glove, etc.

The completed walk-on form must be turned in to the Compliance Office in Rhodes Arena by 5 p.m. on Sept. 4.

Akron baseball returns to competitive play in the spring of 2020 as a member of the Mid-American Conference.
