AKRON – The University of Akron women's golf team will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday, March 11-12, at the 2019 Bucknell Spring Break Intercollegiate at Reunion Resort in Orlando, Fla.

"Rio Verde was a very good learning experience for us," head coach Jenny King said. "We got home and went back to work right away. Over the past two weeks, our preparation and focus improved tremendously. We are hoping to take those adjustments to the course this week at Reunion Resorts. It's a new venue for us, so we are excited for the test."

The two-day, 36-hole is scheduled to be played at Reunion Resort's Watson Course, a par-72 that spans approximately 5,900 yards. The tournament format features an 18 hole round each day with tee times off holes No. 1 and 10 beginning at 7:30 a.m. each day. Live scoring is unavailable at the tournament.

The six-team tournament field includes host Bucknell, Akron, Appalachian State, LIU Brooklyn, Quinnipiac and Richmond.

Akron's starting five includes senior Danielle Nicholson (Geneva, Ohio), senior Makayla Dull (Fremont, Ohio), junior Allyson Wentworth (Stewartsville, N.J.), sophomore Abbie Pearce (Green, Ohio) and freshman Ivana Shah (Mumbai, India).

The Zips are coming off a 14^th-place showing at the Rio Verde Invitational, which was limited two rounds due to inclement weather. Nicholson and Shah used a pair of Top 25 finishes to lead the Zips' scoring efforts.

Both, Nicholson and Shah finished 17th overall. Nicholson posted rounds of 76 (+5) and 74 (+3) for a 150 (+8) 36-hole ledger, while Shah carded an 8-over par tournament total with a pair of 75 (+4) efforts.
