Orlando, Fla. – Senior Danielle Nicholson (Geneva, Ohio) holds a two-stroke lead over the field at the Bucknell Spring Break Intercollegiate as the Zips tallied a 319 (+31) team ledger.

Nicholson fired an even-par 72 in the opening round, and leads the field by two strokes while the Zips are currently third out of six teams. Freshman Ivana Shah (Mumbai, India) follows in scoring for Akron, posting an 81 (+9) mark for 18^th overall, while sophomore Abbie Pearce (Green, Ohio), senior Makayla Dull (Fremont, Ohio) and junior Allyson Wentworth (Stewartsville, N.J.) carded 82 (+10), 84 (+12) and 85 (+13) scores, respectively.

Appalachian State's Joliana Elias is second overall after posting a 74 (+2) score, leading App State to the top of the team leader board with a 303 (+15) score. Richmond is second overall at 306 (+18), while Quinnipiac is tied with the Zips at 31-over par. Rounding out the team scoring are Bucknell and Long Island with 321 (+33) scores.

The second and final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday, March 12 starting at 7:30 a.m. The two-day, 36-hole is scheduled to be played at Reunion Resort's Watson Course, a par-72 that spans approximately 5,900 yards. The tournament format features an 18 hole round each day with tee times off holes No. 1 and 10 beginning at 7:30 a.m. each day. Live scoring is unavailable at the tournament.
