No. 9 Akron Rifle Stays Undefeated with Victory over No. 5 Ole Miss

LEXINGTON, Kentucky – Akron rifle continues to shine in the range, claiming its fourth consecutive victory of the season over fifth ranked Ole Miss Saturday afternoon in Lexington, Kentucky.

With the victory, Akron improves to 4-0 while Ole Miss falls to 2-3.

Akron was led by senior Kera Kaufman (Delmont, S.D.), who continues to perform well in the range. She finished with an aggregate average of 1172 (582 Smallbore, 590 Air Rifle). Tied with her was junior Wyatt Openshaw (Parkton, Md.) who also shot an 1172 (584 Smallbore, 588 Air Rifle).

Close behind them were sophomore Andre Gross (Webster, N.Y.), and senior Lauryn Cinadr (Brunswick, Ohio) who shot an 1171 and an 1169, respectively.

The Zips return to action on Sunday, Nov. 10 as they will take on host Kentucky. Action is set to begin at 8 a.m.
