LEXINGTON, Kentucky – Akron rifle fell to Kentucky 4699-4663 Sunday afternoon in Lexington, Kentucky.

With the loss, Akron fell to 4-1 while Kentucky improved to 5-0.

Akron was led by senior Kera Kaufman (Delmont, S.D.), who averaged an 1170 (581 Smallbore, 589 Air Rifle). Senior Lauryn Cinadr (Brunswick, Ohio), sophomore Andre Gross (Webster, N.Y.), and junior Wyatt Openshaw (Parkton, Md.) finished fifth through seventh with scores of 1166, 1164, and 1162, respectively.

The Zips return to action on Saturday, Nov. 16 as they will take on West Virginia and NC State in West Virginia.
