MORGANTOWN, W.V. – Akron Rifle continues to shoot at a high level, shooting a 4672 en route to a split, as it topped NC State while falling to West Virginia. The split moved Akron up to fourth in the NCAA rankings, its highest ranking in program history.

With the split, Akron improves to 5-2, while West Virginia improves to 6-0 and NC State falls to 3-3.

Akron was led by sophomore Andre Gross (Webster, N.Y), who shot an 1170 (582 SB, 588 AR). Close behind was junior Wyatt Openshaw (Parkton, Md.) who shot an 1168 (577 SB, 591 AR).

The Zips return to Robert A. Pinn shooting range on Saturday, Nov. 23 as they take on North Georgia.
