Greenville, S.C. – Play has been suspended due to lightning. Round two will continue beginning at 9:00 AM Sunday followed by the final round shotgun start.

Before the delay, the Akron men's golf team completed its second round, improving by 15 strokes with a 2-over par 290. After 36 holes, the Zips own a 595 (+19) ledger and currently ranked 11^th overall.

Junior Elliott Grayson (Shelby, N.C.) led the Zips' scoring with a 3-under par 69 performance. He carded 13 pars, four birdies, and a bogey. Grayson ranks tied for 15^th overall with a 143 (-1) total.

Senior George Baylis (Ascot, England) followed with a 2-over par 74 effort, bringing his two-day total to 150 (+6). He currently ranks 55^th overall, tied with teammate freshman Fabian Sunden (Sweden). Sunden fired an even-par second round.

Rounding out the Zips' scoring were sophomore Mitchell McFarland (Wheelersburg, Ohio) and junior Jacob Appleby (North Canton, Ohio). McFarland added a 75 (+3) to his tournament tally for a 153 (+9), while Appleby carded an 80 (+8) for a 157 (+13) tournament ledger.

Round two final results will be updated after play is finished on Sunday, March 25.
