Akron Rifle Garners 11 Scholastic All-American Honors

AKRON, Ohio- The University of Akron rifle team earned 11 Scholastics All-American honors, announced by the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association.

The 11 members of the Akron rifle squad named as a Scholastic All-American are the most by the Zips in one year.

Earning the prestigious honor were senior Sydney Goldschlag (Merrick, N.Y.), senior Julia Hatch (Northfield, VT.), sophomore Kera Kaufman (Delmont, SD), junior Caleb Lloyd (Seven Valleys, Pa.), junior Danielle Makucevich (Portsmouth, RI.), senior Kris Mantel (Malverne, N.Y.), freshman Wyatt Openshaw (Parkon, MD.), freshman Antonio Remedios (Medina, Ohio), sophomore Sarah Schnupp (Gorham, Maine), freshman Rebecca Spencer, and sophomore Cierra Terrizzi (Dallastown, Pa.).

To be eligible for Scholastic All-American honors, student0athletes must maintain a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher.
