Natson Named MAC Offensive Player of the Week

CLEVELAND– For the third consecutive week, an Akron Zip has earned honors from the Mid-American Conference. Senior wide receiver JoJo Natson (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) has been tabbed the MAC Offensive Player of the Week for the East Division, the league announced on Monday.
Additionally, Natson was selected as the Zips' Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by The University of Akron.
Natson led the Zips in their 65-38 win at Marshall. He recorded his first 100-yard receiving game as a Zip (second of his career). While he had 107 yards in the first half alone, he finished the games with seven receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown.
After three games, Natson is the Zips' top receiver with 268 yards and four touchdowns on 14 receptions. He averages 19.1 yards per catch. Natson is the Zips' and MAC scoring leader with five touchdowns for 30 points.
The MAC honor is the second for Natson in as many weeks. He earned Specialist honors on Sept. 12, joining junior QB Thomas Woodson (Monroeville, Pa.) who was named the Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 5.
The Zips (2-1 overall), under the guidance of fifth-year head coach Terry Bowden, host Appalachian State (1-2 overall) on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 3:30 p.m. at InfoCision Stadium– Summa Field. The American Sports Network and ESPN3 will televise the game.
Season ticket plans—which include a ticket to all six home games as well as a parking pass— start at only $60 each. Renewals (for current season ticket holders) and new seats are now available for purchase by calling 1-888-99-AKRON (25766) or visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets) during business hours (Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
Single-game tickets are on sale now for all remaining home games, starting at $15 each.
All-Access 10 Packs, which contain 10 undated vouchers, are available for $100 and can be used for game tickets for any of the ticketed sports.
The Alumni All-Sport Plan, which has season tickets for all six ticketed sports [football, men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, men's basketball, and women's basketball] as well as a $20 donation to the Z-Fund, is available for $175.
