FREE Fan Appreciation Day for Zips Football Set for August 23

AKRON, Ohio— Akron Athletics invites all fans to the inaugural preseason Fan Appreciation Day, set for Sunday, August 23, at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field at Noon.
Members of the Zips' football team and coaching staff will be available for photos and autographs. Children may participate in on-field drills with the players. A ZipsFest preview with inflatable games will be set on Vine Street. Concessions will also be open. Season-ticket holders will receive FREE food.
There will plenty of fun and food for the entire family. Fans are asked to enter the stadium through Gates 2 and 3 (Vine Street). FREE parking will be available in Lot 10 (behind the Stile Athletics Field House).

Akron, under the guidance of fourth-year head coach Terry Bowden, opens the 2015 season at Oklahoma on Sept. 5 at 6 pm. CT (7 p.m. ET). The Zips host Pittsburgh in their home opener on Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field.
Single-game tickets for the Pittsburgh game are on sale now for as low as $15.
Tickets for the 2015 Akron football season start at only $60 each (a 40 percent savings over single-game tickets) and are available anytime at GoZips.com/Tickets, or from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET on Mondays through Fridays by either calling 1-888-99-AKRON (25766) or visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets).
Special experiences are also available for group outings of 20 or more fans for any home game this season.
