AKRON, Ohio – The summer schedule continued for several Akron Zips women's golfers, with incoming freshman Danielle Nicholson closing day one of the PGA Junior Series event at Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio.
Nicholson posted a round of 3-over 75 and is tied for third place with 36 holes to play. She is three shots behind tournament-leader Gina Kim, who posted an even-par 72 on Monday. Play will resume on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. ET, with the third round slated for Wednesday.
The PGA Junior Series is to provide affordable and competitive playing opportunities for boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18 throughout the country.
