2015 NSCAA SCHOLAR ALL-AMERICAN RELEASE
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - University of Akron men's soccer junior Adam Najem (Clifton, N.J.) was selected as a First-Team Scholar All-America award winner when the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) unveiled its 2015 Scholar All-American team on Thursday, Dec. 17.
Najem became the sixth Zip to garner First-Team NSCAA Scholar All-America accolades and the first since Reinaldo Brenes in 2013.
The NSCAA Scholar All-America citation is the ninth in the Zips' storied men's soccer history, while also marking the 22nd overall academic All-America honor in program history.
Najem started all 24 games for Akron this season registering team-high marks in assists (11), points (31), shots (69), shots on goal (31) and game-winner (4), while ranking second in goals (10).
