Laryea named Zips' Student-Athlete of the Month, presented by The University of Akron, Ohio's Polytechnic University

AKRON, Ohio - Richie Laryea (Toronto, Ontario (Canada)), a sophomore on the men's soccer team, was named the Zips' Student-Athlete of the Month for October, presented by The University of Akron, Ohio's Polytechnic University.

Laryea turned in an impressive month of October leading the Zips to a 6-0-1 mark on the strength of team-high marks in goals (6), points (13), shots (17) and game-winners (2), while ranking second in shots on goal (8) and adding an assist.

Laryea scored goals in three of the Zips' seven October games, including netting his first career hat trick with a three-goal performance in a 4-0 win over Northern Illinois (Oct. 17).
