Football Game at Kent State Moved to Nov. 28

AKRON— Akron's football game at Kent State has been moved to Black Friday, Mid-American Conference officials announced on Thursday.

The Zips and Golden Flashes will now play for the coveted Wagon Wheel on Friday, Nov. 28 at 1 p.m. ET at Dix Stadium. The game was originally slated for Tuesday, Nov. 25. Television for the game is pending.

The change was necessitated after Kent State's game at Buffalo was postponed from Nov. 19 to 21 because of inclement weather in Buffalo. KSU at Buffalo will now kick off at 1 p.m. on Nov. 21 at UB Stadium.

The Akron Zips (5-6, 3-4 MAC), under the guidance of third-year head coach Terry Bowden, need one more win to be bowl eligible for the first time since 2005.
