Detwiler Named Akron-IMG Sports Network Football Analyst

AKRON, Ohio – Former University of Akron defensive back Brad Detwiler has been named the new analyst for the Akron IMG Sports Network football broadcasts.
Detwiler, who competed for the Zips from 1999-2001, replaces Andy Alleman on the radio team which includes long-time Zips play-by-play man Steve French and veteran sideline reporter Joe Dunn.
Detwiler played in 33 games in a Zips uniform, including starting at safety in all 11 contests as a senior in 2001 when he ranked second on the squad in tackles (68) and tied for first in tackles for loss (12).
The North Canton native will make his debut in the booth on Saturday when the Zips visit Ohio State at noon ET.
All UA football games are broadcast on the Akron IMG Sports Network via SportsRadio 1350 AM (WARF) in Akron (flagship), 1420 WHK in Cleveland and 1440 WHKZ in Warren/Youngstown.
