Benjamin Wraps Up Season at NCAA's

FORT WORTH, Texas -

Sarah Benjamin fired a score of 579 to finish 31st among 36 participants in the air rifle competition this afternoon, concluding her trip to the NCAA's hosted by Texas Christian University.

The sophomore joins an elite group in Akron rifle history, becoming the second consecutive Zip to qualify for a trip to the NCAA's behind fellow sophomore Jenna Compton and third overall, including Mark Beres (1979).

Benjamin shot a career-high and school-record-tying 590 mark at the NCAA Qualifer earlier this season to earn her ticket to the event.
