UA Sophomore Featured on Golf Channel

AKRON, Ohio – Following her run at the
U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship in Devens, Mass.
last week, sophomore golfer Kristen Hill was the focus
of a feature story on the Golf
Channel.
Hill, an All-Mid-American Conference standout last spring, was
defeated by Jisoo Park from Korea in the second round of match play
last Thursday at the 6,267-yard, par-72 Red Tail Golf Club.
It was a busy week of events for Hill, who qualified for match play
with a pair of excellent rounds last Monday and Tuesday before
defeating Nikki Koller, a sophomore from the University of Arizona,
in the upper bracket of match play Wednesday. Futhermore, Hill
caught the attention of the national media in a feature
story written for the USGA.
The U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links is one of 13 national
championships conducted by the United States Golf Association, of
which 10 are strictly for amateurs.
