AKRON – There will be numerous ways to follow the Akron Zip
football program this weekend, starting Thursday night with the
weekly Zips Live Coaches Show from 7-8 pm live on 1350 AM (and
GoZips.com) from the Winking Lizard Tavern in Fairlawn.
In addition to University of Akron head football coach J.D.
Brookhart, host Bill Morgan will talk with Zips' head golf coach
Nick Goetze, who will talk about his 2007 squad and how the fall
season is progressing. Morgan and Brookhart will recap the Zips'
loss against Connecticut as well as preview this Saturday's
encounter with Western Michigan.
Continuing radio coverage picks back up Saturday, with a
re-broadcast of Zips Live at 6 pm on 1350. At 6:30 pm, 1350 AM and
1490 AM (as well as GoZips.com) will broadcast the Zips-ISP Sports
Network pre-game show, featuring an interview with Brookhart as
well as senior captain Mike Schepp.
Fans who cannot attend the Western Michigan game can watch both the
contest via GoZips.com through the Zips Zone link. Akron's
homecoming contest on Oct. 13 (6 pm) versus Temple will
additionally be available through Zips Zone.
