Akron-WMU Game To Be Telecast On ESPNU

The University of Akron and Western Michigan University will
adjust the start time of their regular-season finale on Friday,
Nov. 24 at the Rubber Bowl from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (EST) to
accommodate a telecast on ESPNU, the Mid-American Conference office
announced today.
The game is part of a MAC doubleheader that day, with Ohio and
Miami facing off at noon.
The Zips (3-5, 1-3) face Bowling Green (4-5, 3-2) at 1 p.m.
tomorrow at the Rubber Bowl, beginning a stretch of three home
games over the next four weeks.
Akron has not faced Western Michigan since the 2001 season, with
the Broncos holding a decisive 10-3 lead in the all-time series.
WMU (6-2, 4-1) is in the thick of the West Division race, trailing
leader Central Michigan by a game.
Akron's final three games will be seen on ESPNU, including
Thursday's contest with Buffalo (6 p.m.) and a matchup at Ohio on
Nov. 16 (7:30 p.m.)
