Jayme Plummer enters his fifth full season as an assistant coach under Ron Arenz in 2014. Working primarily with the middle blockers, Plummer serves as the program’s recruiting coordinator in addition to managing team defense. Â
Plummer is also the Mid-American Conference representative on the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Assistant Coaches Committee.Â
Breaking into the college ranks in 2007, Plummer was an assistant coach at Cleveland State for two seasons (2007-08) where he helped the team grab the 2007 Horizon League tournament title and an NCAA tournament appearance.
A native of Columbia High School in Columbia Station, Ohio, Plummer graduated in December of 2008 from Cleveland State with a degree in art education. Currently, Plummer is continuing his education at Akron working on a master’s of sports physiology.
