Jared Rose is set to begin his first season as a full-time assistant coach with the Zips this fall after volunteering on the staff in 2012 and 2013. Rose came to Akron from the state of Florida where he was a head coach at Pinecrest Premier Soccer Club in Miami from 2007-12.  He was named the club’s coach of the year in 2011.
Rose also served as the head middle school soccer coach at Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart in Miami, along with assisting the JV and varsity programs since 2011.
In addition, he has been a member of the summer soccer camp coaching staff at the University of Miami (Fla.) and an assistant coach at Immaculate La Salle High School in Miami. Rose began his coaching career in 2006 as a student coach at Michigan State University. Outside of coaching, Rose has worked as a personal trainer, where he obtained certifications from the National Federation of Professional Trainers.
As a player, Rose was a four-year member of the men’s soccer team at Florida International University. A two-time all-conference player, Rose was a team co-captain and earned the team coaches award in 2005.
Rose graduated from Florida International in 2006 with Bachelor of Science degree in sport management and physical education and is pursuing a master’s degree in coaching education from Ohio University.
He holds a United States Soccer Federation B License. Â
