As a Junior (2018): 2018 Second Team All-MAC Selection … 2018 Academic All-MAC honoree … after missing the first two games of 2018 due to injury, competed in the final 18 matches for Akron while making 16 starts … as a dual threat defender, scored three goals and six points on the season on a team-high 36 shots and 18 shots on goal … tallied five shots in a single contest against Robert Morris … scored a goal in back-to-back contests against Wofford and Indiana State … played 90+ minutes in 11 games including 110 minutes against Ohio … a member of the defensive backline that earned five shutouts on the season and limited the opposition to just one goal in 10 games, including nine inside MAC play … now ranked sixth in program history for most goals scored (12) and ninth overall in points earned in a career … Amato is three goals away from moving up to fifth overall (15) and one point away from being tied for eighth (25).
