Breanna Patz is in her second season as graduate assistant for the Zips. She joined the staff in 2013 following her collegiate career at Xavier.
She appeared in 42 events for the Musketeers, finishing first or second in season scoring average in each of her four years (second in 2012-13; second in 2011-12; first in 2010-11; first in 2009-10). Her 77.53 scoring average of 116 career rounds is the top mark in program history.
Patz earned three Second-Team All-CAA honors during her time at Xavier and was a four-time National Golf Coaches Association Academic All-American (2010-13). In 2013, she was named the CAA Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Patz concluded her career at Xavier as the program's record holder for the lowest single-round score, carding rounds of 69 on two occasions. She also owns the junior (77.3) season scoring average school record, as well as four of the top-10 overall single-season scoring in Xavier history.
Patz, a 2009 graduate of Avon High School in Avon, Ind., was an All-State selection in all four years of her high school career. She finished fourth at the IHSAA State Finals in 2006 and finished in third place in 2008. In all, she set 11 Avon High School records during her high school career.
Patz graduated in 2013 from Xavier University with a degree in accounting. Her brother is currently a student-athlete on the men's golf team at Maryville University in St. Louis. Her father is the girl's golf coach at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Ind.
