Kormuth, Hezri and Liptak in Top 25 for Akron at the Dayton Flyer Invitational

Kettering, Ohio – Kaitlin Kormuth paced the Akron golf team through the first 36 holes of the Dayton Flyer Invitational on Monday at the NCR Country Club - South Course (Par 71 • 5,854 yards) as the Zips rank seventh overall with a 311-306 – 617 (+49) total.
Kormuth current ranks inside the Top 10 after carding rounds of 74 (+3) and 75 (+4) for a 149 total. She finished the initial 36 holes ranked ninth on the players' leaderboard overall with 24 par scores and three birdies. In addition, her 24 par scores is tied for third overall.
Maisarah Hezri follows in scoring for Akron, ranking 11th overall on the players' leaderboard with rounds of 78 (+7) and 73 (+2) for a 9-over par 151 total. Hezri is even in par-3 scoring, which is tied for eighth overall as she posted 22 par scores and three birdies.
Also making an appearance in the Top 25 is Emily Liptak, while competing as an individual. Liptak recorded rounds of 76 (+5) and 77 (+6) for a 153 (+11) total. She registered 20 par scores and a team-best four birdies.
Rounding out the Zips scoring were Sohniya Chandra Mohan (+16, 78-80 – 158), Goethe Na Songkhla (+17, 80-79 – 159) and Hridhika Vora (+18, 80-80 - 160).
The final round is scheduled for a shotgun at 9 a.m. as Akron is slated to start on holes 5-9, Kormuth (5), Hezri (6), Chandra Mohan (7), Na Songkhla (8) and Vora (9). Liptak will start on hole No. 14.
