as a Sophomore (2008-09): Played in all 36 games and was in the starting lineup 26 times, including the final 21 contests of the campaign ... 36 games played tied six other players for most in a season in program history and also tied for the most by an Akron sophomore ... finished the season ranked first in free throw percentage (92.6 percent/75-of-81) ... led the team with a career-high 19 points versus Gonzaga (March 19) in the NCAA Tournament First Round ... converted 6-of-9 field goals, 4-of-6 3-pointers and 3-of-4 free throws against the Zags, one of 16 double-figure scoring outings for him for the season ... closed out the campaign with a string of five-consecutive double-digit points performances and averaged a team high 13.6 points over those final five contests ... averaged 12.3 points (second best on the team) and shot 45 percent (9-of-20) from 3-point range during the MAC Tournament (March 10-14) ... closed the season ranked fourth in the league in 3-point field goal percent (39.8 percent/49-of-123) ... grabbed a then career-best six rebounds versus Miami (Ohio) (March 12) in the MAC Tournament quarterfinal ... saw a career-long 37 minutes of playing time in the MAC tourney semifinal contest versus Bowling Green (March 13).
as a Redshirt-Freshman (2007-08): Became eligible for competition on Dec. 17 (academics) and played in all 26 games after that date ... member of the starting five twice, versus Toledo (Jan. 30) and versus Eastern Michigan (Feb. 2) ... scored a then career-best 12 points (on 5-of-7 shooting from the field) in a then career-high 23 minutes in the Toledo contest ... also logged 23 minutes in the Zips' 65-60 overtime victory at Florida State (March 18) in the opening round of the NIT ... averaged 8.7 points in UA's three MAC Tournament games (March 13-15) ... averaged 85.2 percent (23-of-27) from the free throw line, which ranked second on the team ... logged double-figure minutes in 17 games and averaged 12.6 minutes for the season.
as a Freshman (2006-07): Sat out to concentrate on academics.
at St. Francis DeSales High School: Named All-Ohio Third Team as a senior when he averaged 18.2 points ... two-time All-District 7 First Team and first-team all-city choice ... also served as team captain and was chosen as team MVP during his senior year ... led the Toledo City League in scoring (23.7 ppg) as a junior, and also averaged 3.5 assists-per-game and 3.5 rebounds-per-game that season ... the Knights went 16-6 and appeared in the district semifinals during his junior year ... finished his career as the all-time leading scorer at the school.
